The Portage Curation Expert Group (CEG) invites you to join us for our fifth virtual meetup!
After taking the summer off to plan our fall series of meetups, we’re back and excited to continue our curation conversations!
Remote work has impacted many of us this past year and a half — requiring us to rethink communications with our colleagues and the communities we serve.
Bring your stories, suggestions, and challenges to this community-led discussion on communicating with researchers in the context of data curation.
This session will address topics such as:
- How is the work of data curation affected by our communications with researchers?
- How can we build relationships with researchers and improve understanding of curation through limited or one-time interactions?
- How can we better connect with each other using the technology that we have?
- How can we use tools and strategies such as templates and checklists?
This session will be presented in English with opportunities for French discussion. If you are interested in moderating a breakout session in English or French, please let us know! Sessions are not recorded. Group notes and a feedback survey will be shared with registered attendees after the call.
These calls are free and open to all interested parties working in data curation. Please RSVP to reserve your spot and receive the information to connect via Zoom. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].
We recognize that data curation takes place throughout the research data lifecycle, and curators rely on the work of many other highly qualified personnel. We welcome all data stewards, research data management librarians, data managers, preservationists, ethicists, and others who are engaged in research, support the research process, or are interested in data curation to join us!
