In May 2025, librarians and graduate students from four Canadian universities, supported by funding from the Alliance, piloted a 20-hour national research data ‘Jumpstart’, aimed at graduate students and early career researchers with little or no computational background. The virtual program focused on connecting best practices in RDM and in scholarly integrity (registrations and computationally reproducible workflows). In addition, openly accessible asynchronous training materials were developed for use by both Jumpstart participants and others outside of the program. This presentation will: introduce the context in which this pilot was developed, including gaps and opportunities in the Canadian training landscape; discuss the process of developing and delivering the program; and address lessons learned and future directions.
