Call for Participation: Training Materials Review Working Group

The Digital Research Alliance of Canada (the Alliance) National Training Expert Group (NTEG) is seeking participants from across the digital research infrastructure (DRI) ecosystem (advanced research computing (ARC); research data management (RDM); research software (RS)) for a new Training Materials Review Working Group. This group will pilot a process to bring locally-produced DRI training materials to a national audience, with the intent of supporting learners and trainers across Canada.

With support from and reporting to NTEG, this group will:

  • Solicit DRI training materials, i.e., materials for training in RDM, ARC and/or RS - from the Canadian DRI support communities.
  • Develop criteria to assess these types of materials and apply those criteria to the materials received.
  • Support the sharing of selected materials with a national audience.

Work will begin in the summer/fall of 2023 and is expected for 12-18 months. We encourage expressions of interest from those working in any area of DRI support, from any type of institution and from those working in either official language.

The call for participation is open until June 23, 2023. For more information, or to apply, please contact Jennifer Abel, [email protected] and Nick Rochlin, [email protected]
