The Digital Research Alliance of Canada is seeking feedback from the community on its draft National Cloud Strategy and draft National Research Software Strategy.

Both draft strategies were developed with the help of the community’s input submitted through surveys this past winter and spring. Findings from the surveys helped the Alliance better understand how Canadian researchers use the Alliance community cloud, commercial cloud services and research software, and identify the priorities and gaps in service provision in order to better serve the research community.

The feedback collected on the draft strategies over the next three weeks will be analyzed and used to finalize the National Cloud Strategy and National Research Software Strategy in preparation for their official launches and publications later this year. They both include high-level recommendations that will also help inform the Alliance’s 2025-30 mandate renewal submission to ISED.

Two ways to provide feedback

  1. Submit your feedback directly in the draft National Cloud Strategy and draft National Research Software Strategy, or
  2. Send your feedback via an email to [email protected]

Feedback on these draft strategies will be collected until Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 5 p.m. ET.

The Alliance appreciates your input and contributions to the development of these national strategies.
